Junior Pre-Pro Jazz (Fri 6:30pm-7:30pm)

Jazz is a fun and upbeat class that incorporates body isolations, jumps, kicks and turns to the great hits of today, as well as some great retro and oldies music (think The Beatles, Michael Jackson, or Donna Summer!). Your child will learn by stretching, breaking down isolations and technique, and are encouraged to let their bright personalities shine. Beautiful to watch and a joy to dance, lyrical and contemporary styles interpret music and/or lyrics with movement through ballet, jazz and modern technique. Your child will learn this form by studying ballet and jazz classes and then learn the acting skills necessary to convey complex emotion in a lyrical and/or contemporary class. Because jazz technique is strongly rooted in ballet technique, students who wish to progress to a higher technical level are encouraged to take ballet classes alongside the jazz program. Pre-Professional classes are for advanced dancers. Instructor permission required Pre-Professional Program - Permission Required.
