Samantha Paul
Samantha has taught many forms of dance and circus arts for close to 30 years, owning and operating a studio for 22 of those years. Now retired from studio-owner life, Samantha is thrilled to teach at Star Performance Academy.
Samantha studied dance and its history through the Integrated Arts Programme at Eastwood Colligate and graduated with honours majoring in dance and drama. Samantha continued her dance education at the University of Waterloo taking every dance course they had remaining there. She attended the Dance Masters of America Teacher’s Training School where she successfully sat for jazz and tap teachers exams. Samantha’s love for aerial silks blossomed more than 10 years ago. During this time she’s received many qualifications and is a graduate of the National Circus School’s Teacher Training programme. Another love of Samantha’s is Irish dance. She holds her TCRG (Irish Dance Teacher certification) Level 1 and 2 from the World Irish Dance Association, and has led many dancers through Irish dance exams and feis (Irish dance competition).
Samantha’s students have gone on to attend dance and performing arts programmes at Toronto Metropolitan University, Sheridan College and The National Ballet School. Her students have also performed with Ballet Jorgen, The KW Symphony, The Spirit of The West, The Irish Descendants, The Barra McNeils, and with many amazing community theatre productions.
